Is there anything more beautiful ....

... than in spring warm morning light to run through sleepy sidewalks, the rosary silently deeply on the lips and pleasantly heavy in hand, to be in a wind jacket pocket, and so completely unrecognized contemplative, middle of the world close to God, grateful for the light, warmth, love, happy in his security and humanity, but nervously happy occasions now and again perceive wanting to serve Him to let His will be done.

Free Piano Sheet Mountains Biffy Clyro

modern literature and Vatican II

Aus Anlass meiner Suche nach katholischen Stimme n in der deutschsprachigen Literatur, ein Exzerpt aus "die Kirche in der modernen Welt", aus dem Zweiten Vatikanischen Konzil:
Literature and the arts are also, in their own way, of great importance to the life of the Church. They strive to make known the proper nature of man, his problems and his experiences in trying to know and perfect both himself and the world. They have much to do with revealing man's place in history and in the world; with illustrating the miseries and joys, the needs and strengths of man and with foreshadowing a better life for him. Thus they are able to elevate human life, expressed in multifold forms according to various times and regions.

is seeking ...

The great German Catholic Roman Catholic and the voice of German Culture in the 21st Century. If I'm through the catalog pages click the Herder publishing house, when I look at Faz or pearl: Where are they? Where should I look? What or whom shall I read?

Martin Mosebach? Heinrich Böll? Hmmm.

And who writes books such as Peter Kreeft and Scott Hahn of the German-speaking area and in the context of its history and sensibilities? Where are the voices and writers who tell of (orthodox) Catholic view, stories that explain life; cathartic and disenchant simultaneously enchanted by new anchorage in the Christian world view? Where are the intellectual author of a Catholic renaissance in Germany? I only know one thing and this is now the voice of the entire Holy and Apostolic Church - Pope Benedict. Just read his times in the previous article quoted passage on Horkheimer and Adorno. But he is the only one - and also by public officials and at best an indirect role? Can anyone help me?

passing mention yet what to do even more worried than Objective: The absence of the intellectual density and infrastructure? And an even more difficult but simmering question is: Is there still here also a kind of infrastructure gap? For example, between what is sitting on theological and philosophical faculties? What is between the mass media culture kommerzialisertem operation (often embellished esoteric) and traded dusty stale ideas in the marketplace of ideas?

And - admittedly a risky parallel from a related but only marginally more relevant area - is not the same as that gap that exists between bishops as our pastoral of Galen and today?

7 Month Old With Rash Andngetting Tooth

On the Resurrection: Benedict reads Adorno & Horkheimer

From the Encyclical Spe Salvi the Holy Father:
42nd In the modern era, the idea of the Last Judgement has faded into the background: Christian faith has been and Individualized Primarily oriented towards the salvation of the believer's own soul, while reflection on world history is largely dominated by the idea of progress. The fundamental content of awaiting a final Judgement, however, has not disappeared: it has simply taken on a totally different form. The atheism of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries is—in its origins and aims—a type of moralism: a protest against the injustices of the world and of world history. A world marked by so much injustice, innocent suffering, and cynicism of power cannot be the work of a good God. A God with responsibility for such a world would not be a just God, much less a good God. It is for the sake of morality that this God has to be contested. Since there is no God to create justice, it seems man himself is now called to establish justice. If in the face of this world's suffering, protest against God is understandable, the claim that humanity can and must do what no God actually does or is able to do is both presumptuous and intrinsically false. It is no accident that this idea has led to the greatest forms of cruelty and violations of justice; rather, it is grounded in the intrinsic falsity of the claim. A world which has to create its own justice is a world without hope. No one and nothing can answer for centuries of suffering. No one and nothing can guarantee that the cynicism of power—whatever beguiling ideological mask it adopts—will cease to dominate the world. This is why the great thinkers of the Frankfurt School, Max Horkheimer and Theodor W. Adorno, were equally critical of atheism and theism. Horkheimer radically excluded the possibility of ever finding a this-worldly substitute for God, while at the same time he rejected the image of a good and just God. In an extreme radicalization of the Old Testament prohibition of images, he speaks of a “longing for the totally Other” that remains inaccessible—a cry of yearning directed at world history. Adorno also firmly upheld this total rejection of images, which naturally meant the exclusion of any “image” of a loving God. On the other hand, he also constantly emphasized this “negative” dialectic and asserted that justice —true justice—would require a world “where not only present suffering would be wiped out, but also that which is irrevocably past would be undone”[30]. This, would mean, however—to express it with positive and hence, for him, inadequate symbols—that there can be no justice without a resurrection of the dead. Yet this would have to involve “the resurrection of the flesh, something that is totally foreign to idealism and the realm of Absolute spirit”[31].

and serpentine pattern: Morlynn (to see patterns in Ravelry)
Dimensions: 150 x 60 cm
Weight: 179 used g

Some small deviations from the pattern I have installed, the increases per envelope and two rows as at the end of everything. My original plan, the second Kraus-law department also knit in "aunts", I then again rejected because the color "serpentine" I was so fascinated with the knitting.
